Congratulations to Seniors: Sean Fitzgerald, Meghan Lake, and Emily Persicketti who were named 2012-
2013 Illinois State Scholars. This award is given to students in the top ten percent of the state's high
school seniors and included over 750 schools.

Congratulations to Alumni Laura Nalepka who achieved Honor Roll Status at Joliet Catholic Academy.

Thank you to our Alumni, Mrs. Christine Tures, Mrs. Nicole Skiniotes, and Mr. Tim McGrath for attending
our Mass and reception during Catholic Schools Week.  We were proud to honor you in our small way
and hope to attract more Alumni in the future to join us specially during Catholic Schools Week.  Thank
you also to Fr. John Belmonte, our Diocesan Superintendent for the beautiful celebration of the Mass
and for Enthroning our school to the Sacred Heart.  We were delighted also to have in attendance Sr.
Donna Marie, former principal and Sr. Bernadine, former teacher.  Thank you too for taking the time out
to visit with us.  It was a pleasure to hear stories of what St. Joseph School was like in the past.

Congratulations to Miss Alissa Alberico, St. Joseph Class of ’09 who continues to make us proud by
qualifying for the State Scholastic Tournament.  In addition to this wonderful accomplishment, Alissa is
also on the Providence Catholic Math team that qualified for the State Tournament in May.  We wish you
and your team great success at that tournament also!

Congratulations to St. Joseph Alumna Emily Persicketti (class of '08).  Emily was recently awarded a full
scholarship to Villanova University in the Philadelphia suburbs.  St. Joseph families wish you continued
success and the wonderful education she will receive there.  St. Joseph families wish you continued
success in your college career, and we hope will keep in touch with us here.
