Manhattan, IL- St. Joseph’s eighth-grade boys and girls basketball
teams met up with their conference rivals in a season-ending
championship tournament of the SSCC on March 6th. Both teams
came away with a hard-fought second place tournament finish in
their respective divisions.
Both St. Joseph teams also won their respective divisions for the
basketball conference season. They were awarded the coveted
Traveling Trophies and will have championship banners hung in
the St. Joseph’s gymnasium alongside other memorable teams.
This is the first time since joining an athletic conference that both
boys and girls basketball teams won the conference trophies in
the same year.
Along with these team accomplishments, five St. Joseph’s athletes
made the All-Conference teams. Those outstanding players were;
Miranda G Kayla P. Justin A. John C. Emmet T.
