Manhattan, IL – Two St. Joseph School eighth grade basketball
players were named to the SSCC All Conference Team. Sean
McGrath and Abby Persicketti earned this distinction in their
respective divisions of the South Suburban Catholic Conference.
At the eighth grade level the SSCC has three boys divisions and
two girls divisions. Twelve athletes are chosen from each division
from the votes of all the division’s head coaches. Coaches are
asked to base their evaluation and vote on an individual’s athletic
ability on the basketball court as well as their team spirit, conduct
and respect for the game.
Sean and Abby received medals at the conference tournament
championship game in February.
